WROUGHT IRON
Wrought iron refers to a metal material and, by extension, to a range of decorative and functional metalwork produced by shaping metal to create elements used for the protection, enclosure, or enhancement of buildings. It is commonly used in the manufacture of gates, grilles, guardrails, stair railings, fences, balustrades, and decorative elements. The manufacturing process involves various operations, including cutting, forging, bending, forming, welding, and assembly, allowing the creation of straight, curved, or ornamental designs. In modern construction, the term “wrought iron” is often used to describe products manufactured primarily from steel in the form of bars, flat bars, tubes, or metal profiles.
