MEZZANINE

MEZZANINE
A steel mezzanine structure is a load-bearing steel construction designed to create additional floor space inside a building without requiring the construction of a complete additional storey. Its structure mainly consists of columns, main beams, secondary beams (joists), and a flooring system, all designed to support and transfer permanent and imposed loads to the foundations or the existing load-bearing structure. The steel components are generally manufactured in a workshop in accordance with detailed engineering and fabrication drawings, then transported to the site and assembled using bolted and/or welded connections. The mezzanine floor can be constructed using various systems, including steel decking, composite steel-concrete flooring, timber panels, or other materials suited to the project’s specific requirements.
This solution offers great flexibility in design and space planning, allowing for the efficient use of available building space for storage, production areas, offices, and administrative facilities.
