GUARDRAILS
A guardrail is a collective protective system installed along the edges of structures where there is a risk of falling from height, particularly around staircases, mezzanines, balconies, terraces, walkways, platforms, and openings. Its primary function is to ensure the safety of people by preventing accidental falls while allowing safe circulation and use of the structure. A guardrail generally consists of a handrail, posts or uprights, infill elements and, depending on its design, a toe board or an intermediate rail. It can be manufactured using laser-cut metal or wrought iron.
