Overhead cranes and hoists are lifting and material-handling equipment designed to lift and move heavy loads in industrial workshops, production buildings, and steel construction facilities. An overhead crane mainly consists of one or more bridge girders equipped with a lifting mechanism, a hoist trolley, and travel systems that allow the load to be moved in several directions. It generally operates on rails or runway beams attached to the building’s supporting structure.
